Heal Your Organization through Care Teams

What is TSI-C?

Trauma-informed spiritual counseling is structured spiritual care for people affected by trauma. It helps clients process how trauma shapes beliefs, strengthen self-regulation, and align decisions with their values and priorities

Traditional spiritual counseling or coaching has it's limitations

It can unintentionally lead to:

  • Disconnection when people seeking support feel misunderstood, unseen, or emotionally unsafe.

  • Feelings of judgment when care relies heavily on doctrine, correction, or prescribed beliefs rather than curiosity, compassion, and the person’s lived experience.

  • Harmful responses or misjudgment when trauma responses—such as shutdown, anger, avoidance, dissociation, or hypervigilance—are interpreted as resistance, lack of faith, defiance, or unwillingness to change.

  • Limited personal autonomy and self-trust when there is little structure for collaborative decision-making, consent, boundaries, skill-building, and honoring the individual’s own capacity for discernment.

The Care Team program is designed for both individuals and organizations seeking a broader, more flexible care model. Unlike traditional Flamingo Recovery plans that offer 1:1 counseling or therapy sponsorship, this program is tailored around each participant’s needs and recovery journey.

Each participant is supported by a Care Team that may include:

  • Licensed ministers.

  • Mental health clinicians.

  • Trained spiritual care providers.

Participants may receive support for up to 6 sessions, depending on their care plan and program availability.

Organizations can participate by referring constituents who may benefit from the Care Team program. After an initial consultation to understand the organization’s needs and the participant’s context, each constituent is matched with a Care Team that may include licensed ministers, mental health clinicians, and trained spiritual care providers.

Getting started is simple for individuals and organizations:

1. Schedule a consultation

Begin by booking a consultation with our team to discuss your needs, goals, and the type of support you’re seeking.

2. Speak with a team member

During the consultation, we’ll explore spiritual counseling, trauma-informed interventions, referral needs, and any questions you may have about the Care Team program.

3. We help with next steps.

After the consultation, we’ll help coordinate your first appointment, assign your Care Team, and support scheduling for future sessions through the Flamingo Recovery App.

4. Meet your Care Team

At your first appointment, meet the team supporting the participant’s care and begin the up to 6-session experience. 5. Explore next steps

After the six sessions, individuals may choose to opt into additional spiritual intervention or a 1:1 care plan, depending on their needs. Organizations may continue partnering with us to support additional constituents as needed.
